ENVIRONMENTAL FINE ARTIST
Michele Morata is a 20 year award-winning full-time Fine Artist whose work has been collected throughout the U.S. and internationally thru exclusive Fine Art galleries, shows, exhibits, and the internet. Working with over 150 imported organic texture mediums, she considers herself an 'eco friendly' green artist and uses recyclable organic mediums and water-based oils with no added chemicals in all her Original Artwork. SHORT BIO Michele combines her 2-D & 3-D technical, artistic, literary, and research skills, to create one-of-a-kind contemporary paintings & commissions including cutting-edge experimental abstract and modern. She also explores poetic graffiti art in many of her recycled mixed-media creations. She enjoys educating and inspiring other artists to turn their studios into more environmentally-friendly spaces. She is also working on inventing archival glazes and coatings which are water-soluble with no harsh solvents added. Michele's painting passion began as a young child. She received her first Art Award at age 6 and had her first artistic memory of being a painter at age 4. She studied at Newport Beach Museum of Art, a variety of universities, and under the guidance of many famous artists, although some of her creative works display original techniques which she has invented. Along with painting, she keeps a daily Art journal which includes extensive notes on her painting dreams, as well as poetry and thoughts inspired by her love of art. She also completed the edit and cover art & design of Light Passages: A Transcendental Journey of the Soul available for purchase thru Amazon, Borders, & Barnes & Noble. Michele is currently under the art review process at two contemporary museums and available for art licensing. She is dedicated to supporting several charitable organizations. Her last donation was featured in a Silent Auction for ChildHelp USA. She has also donated many paintings to Art For Creativity & Healing and other non-profit organizations which primarily help abused, neglected, and at-risk children. Michele's Original Paintings come with Certificates of Authenticity. ARTIST STATEMENT: Painting & Poetry are my favorite forms of creative self-expression. Everyone has something they can do, which no one else can do. Every person can give a gift to the world, that no one else can give, the discovery of which lies sometimes buried within one's soul. One of my mother’s dreams was to be a professional artist, but she lacked confidence in herself and her talent. Before she died, she told me that she felt as if she had never "really lived." This had a profound impact on my life. After that, I made a lifetime promise to continue to paint in honor of my mother, to learn how to live my authentic creative truth, and to encourage others in the journey to discover who they really are. My life mission is to brighten, entertain, and help heal our world through my creative talents ... and one way I accomplish this vision is thru my colorful canvases. Thank you for supporting the collective dream of all original painters, past, present, and future. |
